Website audits for agencies and consultancies
Win the client with proof of where their site loses buyers.
The client picks the agency that shows them what their site costs them. Barbwire gives you a buyer built from the client’s market, walking the client’s site, with a screenshot at every step.
Audit a client’s site- The fixes ranked worst first
- A screenshot at every step
- Export the report as a PDF
The client wants proof, not taste.
You can see that the homepage is a logo wall and the pricing page hides the price. The client built those pages and sees nothing wrong. Recruiting real users takes weeks and a budget the client will not approve for a pitch.
Heat maps show where people left, not what they looked for.
A buyer from their market, in a real browser, in about a minute.
- Paste the client’s URL. Barbwire reads what they sell and builds five personas for that market.
- Send the skeptic first.
- The report ranks the fixes worst first. Each names the page, the change and the persona type it costs. Every finding links to its step and screenshot.
- Export the report as a PDF for the client. Or add the client to your organization, so they read the same reports you do.
Independent example · 19 October 2026
What you see: a skeptic asks for one real customer.
Senior product manager · Skeptic
Starting at 2 of 5
We built a senior product manager at a 400-person B2B company, a skeptic starting at 2 of 5. We sent her to productboard.com.
Step 2Barbed wire
She jumped to the customers section:
“Show me a company like mine that is still using it a year on, not just a wall of big logos.”
Step 7Barbed wire
On pricing, she stopped:
“I can’t tell if Business is self-serve or sales-gated, and I can’t defend a price I can’t see to finance.”
Would not buy, 2 of 5.
The report’s fixes:
Add a customer story from a 200-500 person B2B software company on the homepage
Show a starting price and billing period for Business beside its Request demo button
Your client’s site gets the same walk.
Turn the fixes into the scope. Prove them after launch.
Each fix copies as an issue. Put them in the proposal. When the new pages ship, send the same persona from the same start page. Put both reports side by side. Before: 2 of 5, would not buy. After: the same persona, its new verdict.
The client sees the same buyer change its mind, or not. If the client knows their real buyer, give a persona that one thing in a line and send it in.
Limits
A persona tests public pages. It does not log in, and it never types into or submits a form. Its verdict is a hypothesis to put in front of the client, not a measurement. Check the screenshot before a finding goes in a deck.
